ABOUT SOMI SAUNA
OUR STORY
SOMi Sauna started with a simple idea: bring people together through heat, cold, and the changing seasons of Michigan.
It grew out of small things: quiet sunrise sits by the lake, cold-morning walks, and the feeling of warming up after being out in the elements. Those moments turned into sketches, long build days, and eventually a handcrafted, wood-fired sauna on wheels.
SOMi was built to move, but also to feel like home — cedar walls, soft light, and benches full of friends. Michigan’s long winters, bright summers, and crisp evenings shaped everything. We wanted a space that felt warm, grounded, and welcoming wherever it parked.
Now SOMi travels from driveway to lakeshore to trailhead, carrying the same idea with it: slow down, warm up, breathe deep, and be together.

WHY WE SAUNA
Sauna is one of the oldest, simplest wellness habits: warm up, cool down, repeat.
The heat loosens the body; the cold wakes it up. Back and forth, the cycle clears the mind and settles the nervous system.
But sauna is more than temperature — it’s company. Some people talk; some sit quietly. Some laugh; some simply breathe. You step out lighter than you arrived because you shared time with others in a warm, grounding space.
SOMi brings that feeling outdoors, letting fresh air, trees, snow, rain, and stars become part of the ritual.
