Yes. We offer: • Half-Day (6 hours) • Full-Day (36-hour window) • Weekend (Friday evening–Sunday evening) Half-Day bookings are required for park locations.

Anywhere with level, firm ground such as a driveway, packed grass, patio, gravel, or a paved lot. We need: • 18 ft × 10 ft of clear space • 12 ft of overhead clearance • Safe access for our truck and trailer

No. SOMi is fully self-contained and wood-fired. Water is only needed if you are renting a cold-plunge tub.

Setup takes about 1 hour. Takedown is about the same.

It’s preferred so we can walk you through safe operation and get necessary signatures. If you cannot be present, you’ll receive a digital safety form, orientation is waived, and you acknowledge responsibility for safe operation.

SOMi comfortably seats up to 12 guests at a time.

Swimsuits or athletic attire. A towel must be used to sit on the benches. Shoes are not allowed inside the sauna.

Yes — löyly is part of the experience. We provide infused water (palo santo, cedar, or holy basil). Please avoid oils or additives.

Yes. We include enough firewood for one full day of sauna use. Extra bundles are available for purchase.

No. Outside firewood is not allowed. This includes collecting sticks or wood from the ground. To protect the stove, we only burn clean hardwood that we provide.

SOMi typically runs between 180–220°F, depending on wood load, ventilation, and outdoor conditions.

Absolutely — this is the spirit of SOMi. Natural cold-plunge locations are our favorite way to sauna outdoors.

No. Guests supply their own ice if using an ice tub.

Yes — and it works beautifully for Half-Day rentals. We frequently operate at: • Argo Park – Ann Arbor • Kensington Metropark – Milford • Stony Creek Metropark – Rochester Hills • Mill Creek Park – Dexter • Belle Isle – Detroit You simply reserve a pavilion, picnic site, or appropriate area with the park. SOMi handles delivery, setup, and removal before park closing.

Yes. Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times. A parent or guardian must sign the waiver.

Alcohol is not allowed inside the sauna.

Please wipe up sweat or spills and clean anything that may stain the cedar. Damage beyond normal use may be deducted from the 20% security deposit. We handle full sanitation and deep cleaning after the rental.

No deep cleaning is required — just general respect for the space.

Yes. We operate in all seasons. Guests must clear snow for driveway access when applicable.

Yes — music and lighting are welcome inside or outside the sauna. Use whatever makes your gathering feel good and follow any venue rules where applicable.

We accept Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, credit/debit (processing fee may apply), invoice, and cash in person.

Yes. A 20% refundable security deposit is held during the rental and returned after pickup if there is no damage.

We take a 50% non-refundable reservation fee at booking. Final payment is due 7 days before your rental. • Cancel more than 7 days out → You are not charged the remaining 50%. • Cancel within 7 days → You may reschedule at no additional cost. • If SOMi must cancel → Full refund if rescheduling isn’t possible.

Yes. General guidance: consult your doctor if pregnant or managing any medical condition, take breaks between rounds, hydrate, never use the sauna while intoxicated, and exit immediately if you feel lightheaded or unwell. A first-aid kit is included at every rental.
